About this project:

I was assigned a multigenre inquiry project for my English Teaching Methods class this semester in which I needed to research a theme that was present in a multicultural novel I read this summer. I chose the theme of "Perseverance" and focused on the following essential question: 

- What does it mean to persevere in the face of adversity? 

 

I looked for an answer to this question in a variety of sources from many different genres and composed an answer which can involve the following three things: 

 - Repitition of an action until you successfully complete it

 - Doing what is right even when social pressures try to influence you otherwise

 - Choosng the path less traveled

 

After researching my question, I then came up with representations of perseverance in many genres of my own. All of these genres are included on this website as well as some other resources that I find helpful to exploring the topic.
